In the cosmetic industry, honey is used as an ingredient in many skin care products, especially for dry and mature skin. Honey-based creams and balms regenerate and nourish dry skin.
Its glucose content means that less water evaporates through the skin and the skin stays hydrated longer. Honey also stimulates blood flow in the skin tissues, improving its nutrition. Thanks to this, the epidermis becomes elastic and wrinkles are smoothed out.
